What is surface treatment?
Surface preparation/modification/treatment is a batch process that converts a small/bulk surface to a useful surface for various chemical/physical modifications. For example, it is recommended to wash a wall before applying paint on it. ‘Washing’ a wall is called as a surface treatment/preparation. Few more examples are in the applications of Coating, Gluing, Brazing, Soldering, Printing etc..
Why it is required?
It is required to get better Wettability, adesion, cleaning, de-contamination, thin film coating
How is working of AcXys solution?
AcXys solutions are based on an atmospheric plasma discharge made between a cylindrical electrode and a block. The gas, which is mainly nitrogen, is injected on top of the block. Then, it is transformed into plasma around the electrode and blown out of the source through a slit. The blown out gas is called a post discharge plasma. It is applied on surfaces in order to react and modify their properties. The geometry of the source enables to create plasma on any slit length. Thus, it is convenient to adapt a plasma source to a custom product.
What size & shape of surface, material can be treated?

Any size, shape, surface of Silicon, Glass, Polymers, Wood, Leather, Paper, Plastics, Silicon, Fabrics, Glass, Copper, Aluminium and Steel can be treated.

Which industry it can be used?

Automotive, Building, Biology, Chemistry, Cosmetics, Household, Medical, Metal, Microelectronics, Packing, Papers, Plastics, Research, Textile, Nanotechnology

What are advantages of AcXys solutions?
  • atmospheric pressure
  • nitrogen based
  • low temperature process
  • low investment compared to vacuum plasma
  • low maintenance
  • low foot print
  • Easy handling
  • Safe
